In 2025, I had the honor of painting the Children’s Center inside Angela’s House, Union Gospel Mission’s new home for women and children in Portland.

 

This space was created to provide safety, stability, and joy for families rebuilding their lives after homelessness, addiction, or abuse. Angela’s House triples UGM’s capacity to serve, offering 52 resident rooms, counseling, education, and activity spaces — a place where healing and hope can flourish for more than 2,000 women and children over the next decade
