I know it’s not Monday yet, but before I officially kick things off next week, I wanted to share a quick welcome post and introduce the blog series I’m so excited about. Consider this the soft launch before the full stories begin!

Welcome to Mural Monday, a weekly blog series where I share the full journey behind every mural I’ve created throughout my career — from my very first wall to the large-scale public works that shaped the artist I am today.

Over the past few years, I’ve painted dozens of murals throughout Vancouver, Portland, Oregon, and beyond. Each one carries its own story: the people I met, the design process, the challenges, the funny moments, the lessons, and the memories that made the project special. Instagram is great for showcasing the final photos, but it doesn’t always allow space for the deeper version — the why and how behind each piece.

This blog series fills that gap.

Every Monday, starting next week, I’ll highlight a mural from my journey and share:

  • The inspiration behind the design

  • The creative and technical process

  • The community, client, or story connected to the piece

  • Unexpected challenges (and the hilarious moments I’ll never forget)

  • What I learned and how it shaped me as a muralist

Some murals were quick one-day installs. Others took weeks of planning, late-night redesigns, lifts, ladders, rope systems, or a whole lot of problem-solving. Some pushed me creatively or physically. Others changed everything for my business. And some were tiny, simple, or sweet, but still incredibly meaningful.

This series is a space to honor all of them.

My hope is that these posts give you a deeper look into my world, not just the polished final product, but the heart, thought, and humanity behind large-scale art. Whether you’re an artist, a client, or someone who just loves murals, I want these stories to inspire and invite you into the process with me.

And if you’re curious about the tools, paints, supplies, or gear I mention throughout the series, here is a link to my Amazon Storefront, where I’ve curated all the products I use and love in my mural practice. Everything I reference in each blog will be organized there for easy browsing.

Thank you for being here, for supporting my work, and for joining me in this new chapter.

I can’t wait to start sharing the journey behind each wall. See you next Monday for the first official drop! 💛
